But sometimes, trout want a meal that is a little more bite-sized.
Enter the Mr. X.
This fly is what happens when you take a proven classic, shrink it down onto a standard dry fly hook, and swap out the traditional silk body for a buggy, heavily textured dubbing.
By tying this on a TMC 100 instead of the usual 2 or 3 XL long-shank hook, you get a micro-attractor that trout absolutely cannot ignore. It sits perfectly on the water, traps air, and brings non-stop action.

- Body: Super Fine Dubbing (Rusty Brown)
